This is a water dispenser in our kitchen here at IDV Solutions. Rather than a dispenser button for cold and a dispenser button for hot, there is a cold or hot set of buttons and a super-dispense button (a little light in the center indicates via color the most recent temperature preference). Imagine a world where pressing the HOT button just went ahead and dispensed hot water.
Maybe it was cheaper to do it this way, maybe it was a legacy paradigm from when this model might have had a mechanical temperature preference, or maybe it was just be a bad idea from the get-go.

The only thing cooler would be if this dispenser had another button labeled ok, now really dispense.
I love this dispenser. The design is very nice and simple. But I also want to know, what is the function of the Dispense button that exists in this dispenser? Could you please tell me about these buttons?
